This is why, despite everything they do that I oppose, and there's a lot, China is unironically good for the world. Stopping US hegemony is a major goal in decreasing the power of capitalism.

i mean if you really just want to get down to how western leftists feel about a country is how secure and safe their life is. In China, living is easy, your ppp is higher, unemployment virtually gone, retire at 55 with full support... like ok china doesnt have the western values of "freedumb" (which is a bunk concept anyways) but it is really fucking good living in china. It really is, my aunt was a kindergarten teacher during the more turbulent 80s era and made like 10 RMB a day. After retiring, her pension was 100 RMB a day and has grown consistently as the public pension fund gets more and more funding. Meanwhile living next to the imperial core I'd be lucky to survive until retirement.

I'm hoping with Ethereum pushing proof-of-stake over the incredibly wasteful proof-of-work verification method, it'll become the standard in the crypto world and bitcoin will move over to POS. Would be a lot better for the environment to not have a bunch of random CPUs burning energy at a rate higher than Switzerland to verify transactions for an e-coin.

Me too, I think the Uighyur situation is going to be the projection and cover-up for the early stages of a yemen invasion.

No! You can't! Only westerners know how to produce petroleum! This is impossible!

Now we know what that 33 mil of "pro-democracy action funds" was for in the spending bill.

Don't feel quite like celebrating this because effectively all fossil fuel extraction and combustion is bad, but I do get that Venezuela is not overwhelmed by options in the current global economy and with the US actively trying to pillage the country.

There are a number of arguments for critically supporting China and justifying its use of fossil fuels in its economic development, but your argument by itself is just some "carbon offset credits"-ass logic.

i'm very over carbon neutrality. The Earth isn't giving us carbon credits. The quicker we eradicate oil from our energy usage the better.

Give me a new Soviet Union style collection of states and have China bring in Cuba and Venezuela and Bolivia. Just to really twist the knife into the dying empire
