I’m trying to redirect their rage about the system to a leftist perspective but they’ve gotten microwaved brains by anti vax and dumb conspiracy websites

Oh... go down the rabbit hole with them about Davos.

I have to believe that the guys at Davos name things deliberately to stoke conspiracies. Who thought "the great reset" is good branding?

Ever been to a company exec meeting? Lots of over paid people trying to find fancy phrases to make old things sound new and exciting.

"The Great Reset" is great branding, if you're one of the people who get invited to Davos. It makes if seem like you're taking charge of the world and resetting it to a better path.

Sounds like something from a cancelled sequel of Videodrone which would rehash classic lines: "Don't be afraid to let your supply chain die", "Long live the new economy", etc.

HAH... I even read that in the voice of the "In a world..." move narrator guy.

They literally made a video explaining that the average person won't own anything.

            Of course!

            But that's not new.

Cheap clothes that fall apart in 6~12 months.

Cheap shoes that fall apart in 3~6 months.

Cell phones that should last decades are rendered obsolete every 5 years with some change to how cell phone communications are handled, 'cause you can't upgrade the hardware.

Music and books and games being digital downloads that you get to "say" you own, but if the server ever goes dark or technology abandons some software/hardware or a company buys out another company or there is some "terms of service violation", etc then poof and its all gone.
