Title. Just looking for that. I don't mind anything else, they can do the most ridiculous fighting shonen bullshit with the inability to not escalate, just with real ideologies people would actually have

The original FMA is more drawn out with Scar and the other semi-related characters, isn't it?
They're rather different stories, though they do share many elements and the early plot
Brotherhood had such a hard time covering early points, the whole Hughes, "brother", and Lior arcs are smoothed over in favor of later, more story expansive arcs that leave kind of a hole between how the two stories end up. Personally, I prefer the more grisly 2003 version to Brotherhood.

Personally I loved the ending of 2003, as it felt more aligned the the theme of the show. Brotherhood has a fairly typical anime ending. I also prefer the way homonculus work in '03, and prefer Sloth and Wrath from '03 as well.

The movie is related to the anime though, right? The movie has a weird villian but I thought what was on the other side of the portal was an interesting idea (trying not to spoil).

in what way? Because he wasn't seperated from Al? I found the tradegy of them both losing their world, but staying together really encapsulated the story. They never could recover from what happened. Kinda like Bilbo leaving Middle Earth or whatever

I gotcha, that makes sense.

Is Hunter X Hunter decent from a left perspective?

Weird. I couldn't get through even 30 episodes of Boruto after seeing what they did to the women. Temari, sister to the Kazekage, hero of the war, one of the most powerful in the world, is now a housewife to Naruto's secretary. I turned it off and never looked back. I couldn't do it

I was actually okay with Hinata being a housewife because that was actually her life goal the whole time, so it at least makes sense.
So ultimately sounds like Hunter X Hunter might be worth watching. I've been eyeing it. Thanks 😊
