lmao it's just a giant fake war to fleece America? That would be a good bit. Too bad that's not what's happening, it would be cool

Had a big struggle session when some recruiters for a ghoulish company (a VERY ghoulish company) came to visit and posted their flyers on our group chat (80 ish people). I called out that these people had blood on their hands, posted some combat footage (nothing gory but enough to get people to remember weapons aren't a neutral asset), posted Killing Hope, etc. Obviously people were quick to take sides; I got called mentally ill and had a lot of people rushing to tell me how they could never do any wrong. Whatever. The thing that got me though was that just about when it was all over, a guy that had joined in to sorta-dunk on the ghoul apologists posted "whatever, to each their own. I'm not gonna preach". Really? To each their own? You'd say "to each their own shrug-outta-hecks" while watching a mass shooter unload into a crowd? Don't wanna offend any sensibilities?

      to each their own

Never forget that that thought terminating cliche was first used as a rich asshole dynastic slogan and as a motto over the gate of a death camp.

oof... Just from Wikipedia... the Dui Hua organization was started by a wealthy USA-ian, John Kamm .

Kamm received an AB from Princeton University (1972) and an AM from Harvard University (1975). He served as the Hong Kong correspondent and representative of the National Council for US-China Trade (1975–1979) and vice president (1989) and president (1990) of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Kamm also managed business operations for Occidental Chemical Company in China and East Asia (1981–1991). Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce

With no background in human rights, Kamm took his first activist stance as vice president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong by convincing the majority of chamber members to pass a resolution condemning China's suppression of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Despite strong opposition from many who thought the chamber should avoid making political statements, Kamm's initiative was a success.

As president of the chamber the following year, Kamm pressured Beijing to release individuals who were imprisoned for their participation in the Tiananmen Square protests. He also advocated for the extension of China's Most Favored Nation (MFN) trade status, arguing that engagement with China is more effective than sanctions at improving the status of political detainees.[3]

    Kinda reeks of CIA...

I actually went and checked out their website, and there is literally one single person in the org with any sort of background in human rights work and everyone else are capitalists, bankers, and random businesspeople from the US and Hong Kong.
