Watching Our Planet on Netflix because I'm bored as shit and nature is so cool. Like how does evolution even lead to the level of speciality for some of the plants and animals out there?

And we're killing it all. One main party in the US hates nature and doesn't think anything is wrong and the other just elected a guy who supports fracking and opposes the GND

    Hard disagree. The circle of life is compelling to me tbh. The feeling of everything is connected and the death of any organism leads to the life of another.

    Plus it's not all bad. One of the cooler ones highlighted was a plant that had a funnel. The sides were slick and the insects fell through and had to climb out a small hole. It barely fit in order for some pollen to rub off on it. That's fucking cool

        Idk I find it comforting that my ashes will be used as nutrients for some plant that will in turn feed some animal.

        But yes I'm an atheist and life is pretty much meaningless so sometimes I have some pretty fun struggle sessions about that.
