i suppose it might vary place to place, but i've always had a lovely time at the northern california one, and there's always been plenty of other visibly trans people as well. you should absolutely do it.
omg! Is it in the redwoods? That would be so crazy.
i wish. it used to be held in a proper forest back when i was a kid, but now it's held considerably further south in the hot, dry realm of Hollister. It's still a lot of fun, but i wouldn't wear one of the big over the top nobility outfits there unless i got it suped up with a liquid cooling system like the queen has.
