If this work well enough get ready to see this thread after each leftist protest, since after all there won't have anything to complain about cheeto man being removed from office.

    :xi-clap: more :xi-clap: women :xi-clap: waterboarding :xi-clap: poc :xi-clap:

You mean to tell me that you can identify a masked leftist in 4 hours by their shoelaces alone, but you have no clue who the MAGA guy wearing animal flesh and pressing his face against every camera in range is after a day? That checks out.

Once I was young and impulsive

      I wore every conceivable pin

Even went to the socialist meetings

Learned all the old union hymns

But I've grown older and wiser

And that's why i'm turning you in

So love me, love me, love me, I'm a liberal

the rising technology of facial recognition

in the future, war will not be fought by robots but by conflicting AIs who twist our perception of reality into baffling pretzel shapes

replace AIs with rich old fucks and that's basically today

modern struggles don't use war to solve things, the use economic leverage and public sentiment

I’m not sure classic struggles used war to solve things, at least not when the instigating party was a self-sufficient state.

Maybe don't say: I am Evelyn from Tenesse and this is a revolution, they hit me when I tried to push through!

Though you are right, it isn't easy to tell how to act, cause only a victorious revolution doesn't get dunked on. For everyone else the old slogan "the revolution will not be televised" existed and got put aside due to hundreds of video streaming devices.

If you want to be effective you have to have a plan, and if you have a plan you have to actually prepare. Opsec is part of preparation.

Information is need-to-know, operations are carried out in the midst of larger actions, covert and targeted actions require better security and much tighter organization than general mass protests.

Wear nothing identifiable and idk, maybe one could shine a flashlight into the camera if they see someone filming crimes?

One of the idiots who tried breaking down the door where the woman was killed gave his full name to the media and related to them his crimes.

Simply overwhelm them with numbers, they can hold a lot of a data but its hard to process well. Diversions help too, I'm sure even the knee jerk observations from yesterday can be applied here.

Then seconding obscure lenses, wild facepaint, maybe bring a cellphone jammer if you're super serious.

I've thought of something to do this automagically during previous protests. in the event that a picture is leaked that contains someone's face in an identifiable manner, it'll do a basic facial detection run on it, and then use a GAN to generate new faces to plaster over those who might be identified. It'll them spam upload as many different versions of the pic literally anywhere it can. Goal being to muddy the waters. The idea not being to try to convince people its someone else, but rather to give plausible deniability that the suspect's face isn't the actual original one and is one of the photoshopped varients.

Thoughts? It'd be super easy to do, but I feel the premise is dubious at best and at worst could draw additional unwanted attention to the original fotos

Anything to increase fog of war where it benefits the user. Sounds like it can't hurt anything minus time spent.

Make up or face paint is very effective to hinder computer vision. Especially play with lightness as camera information from the lightness colour channel is lost to context sensing. You could try to also do this to clothing to hide your silhouette. A camera is a very bad sensor because colour is very ambiguous

Cellphone jammer is not so advisable as it could hinder comrades and make you easy to locate, and is very illegal if caught.

Cellphone jammer has potential in a tactic that calls for an to increase uncertainty. If you limit yourself to legalist methods you're not going far, do what the situation calls for at the time.

I agree but this must be careful. They are very easy to locate and police hate them and they will hunt for you.

Modern facial recognition relies a lot on face shape, so large black marks under/next to the eyes, near your jaw line but not on it across your nose. You'll look like a moron but the algorithms will have a much harder time getting an accurate read. Of course face mask and big sunglasses are even better.

if you're fighting cops on the street yeah you can assume someone has a camera, but there are lots of other kinds of action in a revolution and you'd be smart to be with a small affinity group that you trust not to film you if you're doing anything more nefarious

also study the history of us protest movements and tactics, lots to learn

The FBI already knows damn well who entered the capital building. How many arrests they make and how brutally they crack down will just be whatever they feel like. I do imagine we will see some arrests tho, the FBI's never been above arresting chuds, it would be some free good publicity for most Americans sadly.
