bet you feel pretty dumb now with your numbers all askew
A recent meme claimed that homelessness is easy to solve. This is false; it is in fact very easy to solve.
Actually reminds me of my favourite things to do in an argument with libs:
Understate a number, but keep the understatement high enough that the other person feels the need to "correct" you, with a larger number.
"capitalism is bad"
FACT CHECK: akshually, it is extremely bad
Wait but all the really intelligent people in /r/neoliberal, My state subreddit, and my city subreddit told me we just need to build more houses? How could this be?!?!?!
how landlords survive
technically viruses aren't alive because they don't reduce entropy or however that works
Wouldn’t this be half true at least?
More than 17 million is also more than 13.9 million.
You're only homeless if you lost your home in the past 6 to 8 months and are employed duh
Means tested unemployment criteria, coming to a legislature near you in spring 2020!
Anyone not fitting in the above criteria will now be recognized as "Unaddressed Citizens".
ah I thought it was the horrifying numbers but it's actually the "better" numbers. apparently.
sorry but me and my army of 50 year old suburban honky fact checkers have given this post a pants-on-fire rating for it being worse than the post states
Portland, Oregon just suspended the census of “people currently experiencing houselessness” because of covid risks.
weird how the estimated number downplays the problem but the census number shows it to be worst.
