Trumpism and bernieism isn't "punk" anymore for the middle class trust fund wonderbreads of the world, so they're looking for the NEW THING in political fashion, something that's ostensibly "progressive" but has just enough alt right-Lite DNA in it to keep the edge and hack chan style memes fresh

The unseriousness of the radlibs meets the posting culture of the Trumpets, the true synthesis of the current moment

Theory isn't for everyone and is powerless without praxis. But if people try praxis without at least listening to people who read theory ... they might do the wrong thing.

When you could be out organizing the revolution

AND HOW THE FUCK DO YOU ORGANIZE A REVOLUTION? WATCHING THE AQUAMAN MOVIE?

Don't read theory, just inform them of things you learned about from theory? How is someone going to reach the conclusion that the problem is capitalism if no one is out here breaking down what that means? Without some theoretical basis how the fuck do you even have the words to describe to the worker what's happening? Like, yeah, organizing is super important I'm not knocking that but to disregard political theory is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Umm, actually high literacy rates are bad because they distract people from doing the work in the streets that I tell them to do. that's why the soviet union collapsed; they were all too busy reading to do any praxis 😤

you know i love that while attempting to make a point about how read theory is dumb he had to just write a lot and could have instead used that time to READ THE FUCKING BOOK AND STOP COMPLAINING

"workers have an inherent sense that something is wrong with the system, and all they need is someone to tell them that thing is capitalism."

A: how would they know that without reading critiques of it, to even understand the interconnection of a lot of seemingly disparate issues, especially in America where political education is so dire?

B: feels like I am reading some NSDAP crap from the Weimar Republic era...
