We don’t think you fight fire with fire best ; we think you fight fire with water best. We’re going to fight racism not with racism, but we’re going to fight with solidarity. We say we’re not going to fight capitalism with black capitalism, but we’re going to fight it with socialism. We’re stood up and said we’re not going to fight reactionary pigs and reactionary state’s attorneys like this and reactionary state’s attorneys like Hanrahan with any other reactions on our part. We’re going to fight their reactions with all of us people getting together and having an international proletarian revolution.

Hey, hate his politics here but do you blame the guy for coming to those conclusions?

We are a bunch of weaklings who rely on white supremacists to protect us from nazis, the same white supremacists who murdered anything progressive in the last 70 years.

We need to project power and confidence of some kind to open the minds of men like Mike.

ngl tho, that edit of Mikes's speech that went viral during peak Bernie had me. Really had me.

i dont blame him or any black person coming to this conclusion at all!! I think its shitty when white leftists get superior about marginalized people who never got a taste of capitalism and wealth being apprehensive about dismantling the one thing that we've (falsely) been told all these years can give us more equality. i do think mike should know better though given who he capes for (bernie) but yeah, black people coming to the conclusion that black capitalism is the way to go is understandable and is meant to be called in by fellow black people and not to be sneered at
