Apparently they're a book reviewer for the Washington Post so it's not as bad as it seems at first glance but still
This picture was posted without any context and it nearly broke my brain for the day... I couldn't parse out WHY someone would own all of those books, let alone actually read them... like even the most diehard chud wouldn't take it that far. Knowing about the "book reviewer" aspect really wrinkled up the smooth brain I was left with after seeing the first picture. Namaste, comrade.
Imagine how much money these altogether would have cost if you actually had to pay for them.
And all the wasted paper, those poor trees that were felled just to write orange man bad on them over and over.My first instinct was *idk a few hundred dollars" but then I realize new books don't cost $5 from the used book store like I'm used to paying.
30 bucks for a new hardcover, 8 stacks of approx 12 books each, 3 grand. yikes.
So many words written about a fat farting man who eats mcdonald's and likes pretty toilets.
people where passing it around down by the railroad tracks and laughing
My job sucks but at least I didn't have to read a single book about Trump.
how could you read all of that ink and not radicalize yourself? opening up the 63rd book and being like "yes, this is a good use of my and everyone elses time. capitalism is good. I deserve my income"
I feel like after the first 3, you could just imagine what the rest are about from the title and write a review that hits the nail on the head. No one's looking for hard hitting reviews of this schlock, just put out a 500 word "orange man indeed bad" review and collect your paycheck.
guessing the publishers send a copy
but before the collapse this job will be done by freelancers who have to buy themselves a copy
book reviewer for the Washington Post so it’s not as bad as it seems
Hmm I see what you mean, but working for WaPo does not make anything better than it seems lmao
Why would anyone devote their time to reading about Trump? What's the fucking mystery?
