What inspired me to make this thread is I just heard of this Delta 8 THC shit... which is legal for the time being and orderable in bulk over the internet. Has anyone tried it? Apparently it gets you pretty ripped, but is maybe slightly less powerful and less anxiety inducing. Really tempted to try some.
I started smoking weed again during lockdown out of sheer boredom. I quit in like 2008. Now I can drive 30 minutes to a store and get an ounce of pots thats way better than anything I could find back in the day, and for like a third of the price.

Its legal where I am but the prices are still pretty damn high for the most part unfortunately. Like 50 bones for an 8er. I used to follow all the new strains and junk, but the pace of the developments is so fast I can't keep up anymore.
I am really happy to see the old strains making a comeback, Bubblegum Kush, Afghani, skunk... a lot of the old sweet tasting ones went out of style when diesel hit then nobody wanted the sweet tasting stuff anymore cause it was like 3% less thc.
Really? That's like street prices. And yeah like the spot I go to has an always rotating stock of strains. Basically impossible to know whats what

i invested in some weed by paying for someone's expensive, legal, feminized seeds, and collected a good quarter pound in return come harvest time. once that's through, i'll probably have enough to last me the rest of the year off of what i made spending hours and hours trimming his harvest for him. right now i'm going through a bunch of cocoa melon that had a weird genetic mutation and turned out fully purple

Man I'm so happy weed is legal in Canada right now but even more I love that the illegal side is still here but the cops don't bother with it anymore. I can just order an ounce online and get it delivered in hours :stalin-smokin:

Yeah that's common actually. It happens to me when I quit as well. Definitely weird if you're not used to dreaming.

they are really really weird and surreal for me too. i sometimes think about them throughout the day its that vivid/strange.
There was a famous case of weed related sucide that happened in Denver shortly after it became legal. Some dude ate like a herculean amount of edibles and had the exact same experience. Really sorry to hear that man. As "safe" as weed is - it is still a psychoactive chemical.

Well while thier is a kind of hangover you can get from getting super high I've never heard if it being like that. Its more of a "just feeling lazy and not wanting to do shit" kind of thing. What you had sounds not so good. Unfortunately until its legal across the board actually having quality control and regulations on vapes won't happen and you can get some sketchy shit and not know it. Vapes scare me. I've never had as good an experience from one than what i get from good bud.
That's not normal. Was it a vape cartridge or nuggs? I'm betting it was contaminated unfortunately.

Is it possible you just got super high and forgot to drink enough water? Waking up dehydrated feels exactly like a hangover to my alcohol-sensitive body.
could have been a reaction to moldy nuggs... its pretty common for them to get moldy and its not always easy to spot. that's not a normal cannabis reaction that I've ever heard of though.
If you do - remember less is more your first time. You can always smoke more - but you can't unsmoke what you already smoked.

I've been wanting to suggest a comm for this for the longest time but didn't know what to call it or if it would be widely accepted.
I've tried the Delta 8 THC, previously bought from a store called CANNA CLEAR.
Full disclosure I am like fairly certain this place stole my CC information the second time I ordered. First time went fine, second time their website had all kinds of security warnings which I stupidly ignored and then a week later someones using my card to buy Nikes.
So back to the review. Delta 8 honestly really is just like THC lite. If you do enough of it, the effects are almost completely the same, but if you do a small amount its like a much more subdued version of THC. More psychoactive than CBD for sure, you definitely feel stoned. One thing to keep in mind however is at least the source I purchased it from, sends it in glass jars and the consistency is literally closer to solid glass than it is any kind of concentrate.
Think the hardest most shattteriest shatter and its like 50 times harder than that, but if you work it around with a tool it eventually becomes pliable.
Nice yeah thats what I was wondering. The vendors I'm seeing now mostly have it in like an "oil" form for dabs or to put in vape cartridges. There's a subreddit for it /r/delta8 where they have known trustworthy vendors and stuff. You can get an ounce of the stuff for like 200-250 bones and it seems like that would be a LOT of getting high.
Yeah its always going to be way more cost effective to get a bulk container of whatever it is that you're purchasing. When they distill it into cartridges sometimes the premium you pay on top is insane.
Currently 1g dabs or a cart is like 50+ dollars where I'm at. Even if this stuff is only half as strong as regular THC... That would be like getting 14 grams for what I had been paying for 4 grams... if I can math...
If you can honestly the best use of it, is to cut it with a little bit of real thc at the same time. That REALLLY stretches it out and makes it last even longer.
Its cool to live in a country where it's legal for me to grow my own weed. It's much less stressful than going to a dealer in a gym parking lot or anything. Also the local store got busted by the police recently (growing for yourself is legal, selling is not). That's pretty much all I have on this topic for now
