      of course we could.

we could also shoot ourselves in the foot. and learn to tap dance around the bullet.

but 'we', the 'we' you're talking about at least, can't do that any more safely or comfortably than we could devour our own intestines. the only way to eradicate homelessness, to that 'we' at least, of which I very much try not to be included, is to kill them all and promptly replace them so the system keeps functioning.

sorry im not sober so i might be a little cold and incoherent. but also im apologizing to a mod nvm duck you.

which is why the extent of that is critical support for comrade guillotine.

but also doing so without epic collateral damage would just be... fuck its such a huge problem. and if you allow collateral damage....

Jfc. The reaction to homelessness shouldn't be to persecute them, but to have the government actually do something to make it so that nobody is homeless.

I wish I knew how to more effectively combat shitty attitudes towards the homeless so that people were more uniformly against shit like this. I try to convince people around me that homelessness is a solvable problem, and if I can get them to accept that notion to begin with, I then have to argue why that solution is not murdering them or constantly driving them out of town.

Just force people to interact with them. They're always going to be seen as others if they are treated like others by the state. Asheville has always sucked with homelessness, but when I was still going out, the general prole opinion on the homeless was amazing. Most of my co-workers and friends knew at least one or two unhoused folks on a first name basis. We had a ton of late night bars where homeless and service workers kinda just chilled together after shifts.

I know a lot of suburban psychos who just never interact with anyone outside their class on a non-service level. They see everyone as there to serve them and are upset by people who don't fit their service paradigm.
