"Pete's amazing. Literally so good. He's gonna do national high speed rail within four years."

"Didn't he do the opposite of that in the only public office he's held?"

    "Not sure about that. (Yes)"

Meanwhile, the California High Speed rail is set to open ... in 2027 (by the best estimate), between Merced and Bakersfield only, and that’s it ... :agony:

The Buttigieg sycophants are the most perplexing. He's so insincere, dishonest, and condescending. His only voters were old white people. His base does not use Reddit.

I think he has a bunch of Astroturfed campaigns going. He certainly did on Reddit during the primary, and he's just enough of a psycho to keep it going all the time.

Buttigieg represents the very worst of those who enter politics. He is without an ideology. For him, politics is basically celebrity, but celebrity culture is too uncouth. He lionized JFK. JFK didn't do anything of note except piss off the mob/CIA and get murked.

Buttigieg worships the celebrity culture around JFK. He wants the same kind of fawning adoration, which is just narcissism. And I'm sure deep down he truly believes the country will be better if he is in charge, because Pete thinks he's the best!

He is a LinkedIn badge turned sentient. He is the trolly problem with the most kills and a rainbow flag. Just a vile, wretched human devoid of any kind of humanizing traits.

I think it's more a lot of non-political people seeing clips of him speaking on Twitter, where he comes off as an Obama type.

It won't be until he runs for president again that normal people really start seeing conversations around how shitty he is, because no one will care what he does for four years as transportation secretary, even if he majorly fucks something up.

Only if he does something good like make any step towards national high speed rail will people mention him. I hope he does, even if only to do something he can point to in 2024.

His legions of weird sycophants will volunteer to test them, and some future alien civilization will find dozens of buried rooms filled with baffling skeletons and weird merch and correctly assume it was a mass religious sacrifice.

If Pete is a transit freak, why didn't he extend the South Shore Line back into downtown South Bend?

Mayo “The Rat” Pete Boot-Edge-Edge, king of the yimbies. What makes me sad as rats are wonderful, sweet social creatures and Pete is just a monster that will end up sending death squads into Bolivia as a resume builder.
