I mean, Hydra takes up shop in the country that did most to stop the nazis (USSR) and not you know... the country that inspired the nazis, protected them in NATO, West Germany, Gladio, and did this?

Can we crowd-fund a movie where Cap goes to Vietnam and is like "wow this sucks" so he goes back to Maryland and kills McNamara?

Maybe an entire series of shorts where every time Cap goes to a US foreign war he realizes American Foreign policy is bad actually them wipes out the defense cabinet but evil nazi time travellers always erase it?

Marvel movies are definitely terrible but I read comics as a kid and they're nostalgic so I watch them.

I generally enjoy them, with a few exceptions, but definitely not for ideology.

If we're talking about the movieverse then IDK. I feel like at "best" they're just an organization that has no ideology and just happen to side with nations that counter American hegemony. At worse they're emblematic of horseshoe theory and set up shop in both countries because they were authoritarian. I'd go with the latter just because I think the movieverse was pro-American, but not in a particularly left/right manner.
