Fuck you reddit 2.0, took you long enough. Thanks though, we'll stop seeing your crap posters pollute our comment section from now on.

90% of people we ban come from world. Very funny that they said they saw a rise of hate speech from our instance though considering the worlders we ban are fucking genocidal maniacs and fascists. You can check the modlog (it's unfortunately federated), we are one of the tamest instances when it comes to banning people and deleting comments/posts.

For any worlder that was based and liked interacting with lemmygrad (you will notice we did not ban good faith participants), I recommend you make an account on a third-party instance that federates with us, like ml or ee until they also defederate from us because we have principles 🙃

Fuck israel, Palestine will be free a month from now mark my words 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

On top of that, for the worlders finally breathing free again now that the scary tankies are away, you think the USSR wasn't communist or whatever. You base that on whatever you've been taught in school. We've read things. We've actually gone beyond whatever our high school teachers said and looked into the USSR for ourselves. If you're not cowards you will debate us about communism and "totalitarian" regimes, we'll wipe the floor with you. Bet you don't even know where the world totalitarian comes from or who coined it without looking it up.

And we retain our perfect track record of not blocking real instances while you further isolate yourselves from anything that might cause you some amount of discomfort. Really good democracy you got going there where wannabe tech bros instance admins decide for you what you're allowed to see, must be those liberal values I hear so much about.

the one instance I've hated the most has been .world, solely because 9/10 times when there's a pending report, that report was about a .worlder saying some horrible shit. and that .worlders will report our comments and posts for "violence advocation" when all we're doing is discussing the conflict.

I did just a little bit ago.

Their take on the conflict in Palestine follows the logic of Zionist organizations, and generally, they show that they don't know much about the world outside of their narrow Western perspective. So, good fuckin' riddance.

I’m not sure if .world or Blahaj is worse when it comes to far-right bullshit. Glad we don’t seem any of their spewing from either anymore though

You can't say 'you stand with palestine' while denying the people that Palestine stands with. You literally do not get to do that. This is not a bifurcated conflict. If Palestinian marxists and even unbased civilians decided that Hamas was good enough for them, that's the end of your input on the situation-- otherwise, you're not with them. You're just two steps from both-sidesing Israel's settler-colonial genocide.

I cannot wait to see what happens when Black folk start cultivating proper leaders again; y'all'd probably fuck us yet again. "Oh, I don't agree with the armed coalition militia" when we spent 400 years under peckerwood oppression; that's what you're doing to Palestinian civilians when you denounce some of the only people willing to actually protect them.

And there are no civilians in Israel except the kids. Israel is a military conscription state. Everyone who isn't a child either serves, or has served the IDF. They're all legal combatants according to Amerikan RoEs.

Wow, that's wild. How did Hamas end up being the only game in town? Did somebody bankroll them and kill any moderate opposition? Jamie, look that shit up.

What do you think the “Palestinian will” is?

Just do another peaceful protest and pray they don’t get murdered again while everyone in the West acts like nothing happened?

Also, just voting doesn’t tell you the full story. Is it not possible that while Palestinians would rather not take such measures, all other alternatives have been exhausted?

I’m having trouble finding current polls, perhaps because of an active war, but it seems this operation has led to a surge in support for Hamas.

Why are you spilling tears over the handful of dead Israeli children but not the hundreds of dead Palestinian kids who do not have bomb shelters to go to, who are unable to leave the tiny Gaza strip, who have been living like this all their life?

And please don't imply "both sides are killing children and that's bad". One side may or may not have made child casualties as part of their methodical liberation operation that targeted military installations and personnel, the other (Israel) is just indiscriminately bombing everything that moves in Gaza and has been doing it nonstop for 4 days, day in and day out.

Libs debate without knowlege and get angry very quickly when it doesn't work.

Could it be that you, who have "looked into it" by way of being spoon-fed a couple recent articles, are wrong?

Not only it that impossible, you also got so angry at the guy you were talking with you resorted to name calling.

Your never brought a single link

Shouldn't you be ashamed rather than angry? Because this small exchange paints a pretty clear picture of your ass

I'm just as upset as you presumably are that the parents of those kids were keeping them so close to an open air prison and site of such violent conflict. That's not a safe place for kids and it's tragic that those kids died as a consequence of the negligence of their shitty, colonizer parents.

Is the news that we're right? I can't tell you how many fashy comments I've had to remove from worlders. Oh also when you make a report on Lemmy, it gets sent to all applicable parties. I received the reports because the comments were made on Lemmygrad, but so did .world because they concerned someone from their instance.

They never got banned from world 🙃

Pearl clutching liberals have to invent wild accusations of hate speech about y'all rather than just admit they're imperialists

They really are doing their best to reinvent reddit. Solidarity to y'all. I've always liked lemmygrad and you're all comrades to me. fidel-salute

It's quite frankly amazing lemmygrad's federation with world lasted as long as it did. Hexbear was preemptively defederated from .world and their justification for it was literally the fact that we were explicitly against NATO, full stop.

Without lemmygrad, .world's fascist bar syndrome is going to massively accelerate.

Can't say its surprising that the reddit /

    Show
instance is defederating from all the communist ones.

Its unfortunate because people who sign up there won't be exposed to an anti-imperialist / non-western-supremacist perspective, and will essentially get the exact same takes that they see on reddit.

They've created what they've wanted, a reddit island in the fediverse. They'll continue to defederate from any instance that challenges US imperialism.

At least it'll be less moderation work for us tho.

Truly unfortunate as it’s one of the biggest instances. But completely foreseeable as they were seething pretty intensely as they got whipped up into a genocidal rage at the propaganda around the conflict in Palestine.

If this were 2003 they would have defederated from us over calling Bush a liar about WMD’s in Iraq no doubt.

I'm not worried about reach per se, I just don't see a point if it's gonna end up absolutely miniscule. That's hard drive space that could be saved in that case, I figure. Like, if the demand is upwards of 50-100, then I absolutely would, but if we're talking like ten people tops, I'm not sure that's the most economical use of a community on this instance.

Valid point tbh; I like to tinker with html in my free-time-- "as minimal clutter as possible" is my mantra where code is concerned. I don't want to create clutter.
