People at my job are insane. We're paid less than $13/hr and some guy here was bragging about working 17 days in a row, another one for 31. We're fucking wagies earning insanely little but it's like a competition to piss away more of your life for a meager salary and I'm given passive aggressive texts whenever I stick to having my day off when I'm called on my way home from a 12 hour shift to go in on the only day they have me scheduled off that week.

It's not even that I have a life, it's that I don't want my life to be this shitty fucking job.

The people who brag about how much they work are people I never want to talk to. They are almost always insufferable. Like dude, I don't care you slept "only 4 hours" last night, you said the same thing the day before, and the day before that, and the day before that. shut up

I don’t care you slept “only 4 hours” last night

This is one thing I could always "flex" on them bc I have a sleep disorder and so I would just pull the oh I haven't slept in 3 days

I knew a guy who pulled a few 20 hour shifts. Another dude I worked with slept on his off days, because he was in community college finishing up his associates and he was terrified of going into debt when he went to university. His days were class from 9AM-1PM, Homework from 1PM-4PM, our job from 4PM-11PM, ??? from 11PM-2AM, and Fedex from 2AM-9AM

Does anyone else find these people to also be the fucking worst people to work with also? I am all for slacking off at work, as long as your slacking off doesn't result in also fucking over your coworkers. I work in healthcare so like, our work is actually important and the ones who brag about working 15 days in a row and pick up every open shift are always the ones casually browsing Facebook while shit is going down. Like they are fucking blessing everyone by showing up for 80 hours a week so they can just kick back. And they're right cuz managers always fucking love them too.
