these are not the decades I hoped for ☹️
Libs: see, I told you he's trying to restart the USSR!!!
Literally the only thing I knew about Ukraine prior to this was that it was overrun with neonazis
my first thought was "someone's trying to weekend at Bernie's the queen"
aight I'm out for real. my mental health can't handle this anymore. wake me up if we're still alive when this is over
p sure they wouldn't have any soldiers to post if they excluded to Nazi ones
That is quite literally what it is. I have heard "Iraq was a mistake but at least there was a reason even if it was a bad one" more times in the last week than I ever wanted to hear in my lifetime. They think Putin is just doing war for funsies so comparing the two, in their eyes, means I'm diminishing his evilness.
anyone have any good lib friendly infographics or something that would be good to share on social media about the history of the day?
If another lib calls me a russia apologist for drawing parallels between this and Iraq instead of realizing I'm obviously condemning both I stg I'm gonna [redacted]
I have such a love hate relationship with LA haha. I grew up in Vegas and had a lot of friends in LA so have spent a lot of time there and I kinda just feel like I hate humans the entire time I'm there and I always feel relieved to leave but then I'm also always like fuck but there's so much cool stuff there. Are there any particular suburbs you would recommend?
It doesn't have to be a major city, I am more interested in what other people like and dislike and find important than tailored suggestions because I literally have no idea what I'm looking for. Plus hearing why someone loves some random small town in Montana that no one's heard of or something is interesting!
Part actual secret military technology, part psyop (to cover for exposure of secret military technology). If any of y'all are interested in a book exploring UFO lore from someone who tried to sort out fact from fiction and ultimately just walked away with more questions, I just finished reading Mirage Men and it was pretty good.
Yeah that was my thought as well
Same, I voted for Howie but felt conflicted about it on election day. Pretty much every single thing that has happened since election day though has just reaffirmed that I made the right decision.
main plot had to please the capitalist overlords but there were clearly some commies on the team, tons of anticapitalist content in the lore. also at some point you can access a leftist web forum that's pretty much exactly what you would expect a leftist web forum to look like.
there is actually a major quest where you help a bunch of sex workers violently seize control of their workplace.
This is like the foreign relations version of all those stories about the cops who end up in the hospital because they had racing heartbeat and felt dizzy and were convinced that the dude at the dunkin donuts counter poisoned his coffee, but the CCTV footage shows that they didn't. Turns out they actually just have a persecution complex and had a panic attack.
same. put me back in the matrix tbh.
There aren't really any references other than like the fact that some of the characters show up in Rogue One which takes place after the series. They specifically wanted to avoid all the easter eggs and fan service that the other shows rely on and it's better for it.
