I just can't wrap my head around trans hatred. Even when I was a cryptop-fash I literally didn't care. That was one thing that never bothered me, LGBTQ, probably because I was an atheist and learned more towards the fashy libertarian side.
It’s really hard for me to understand how everyone isn’t at least NIMBYish about it.
Like my mom is super lib and would say she’s really for gay rights but it was like a switch flipped when my sister started dating a woman. Her thought process was that since my sister is bisexual, that she should be with a man so her life would be easier.
While I don’t agree or condone that mindset, I can understand logically how her mind went there. I cannot comprehend why anyone could give a shit how some random person lives their life.
Certain people get freaked out when they see other people stepping outside "normal" social roles. It's something I've had to unlearn myself coming from a relatively conservative background
