Also, judging by what appears to be the railing of the balcony that this was taken from, the original photo was likely taken by a gentrifier.
The only ones who are, here in Austin, are the ones who happen to live near critical infrastructure that can't be turned off and are on the same circuit.

I dont think anyone is even in those buildings, those are corporate skyscraper offices in the back.
Not entirely. Lots of residences downtown, and the hotels are currently occupied by people whose homes went without power.
No doubt there are some empty offices too, but to think that's everything you're seeing would be false.
Arent the apts in the city towers mostly empty though 1000+ for a studio is a joke in tx
