If America was good, it wouldn't need to happen
Actually, no. America would only be good if they ceased all imperial activity and aboloshed the capitalist mode of production (two things that are intertwined). This is just a side effect of absolutely psychotic, unchecked neoliberal capitalism as a transitional phase of American fascism.
Double no: THIS ISN'T EVEN THE USA THIS IS FUCKING CANADA IN 1998 (I should have known by the very clearly French stop sign and the giant CN on the train)
Unfortunately CN was privatized by the Liberals in 1995 or so. And just like Petro-Canada they were allowed to keep the name.
If this was what people meant when they talked about the "American spirit", I bet we'd have FALGSC already. That's industrious and resourceful as hell.
Boucherville is in Québec, but I agree with the feeling.
Conductor Pete: “It’s not just about training people to get back into the workforce, but about forcing trains to work for us.”
:CommiePOGGERS: Based
Remember: Many locomotives have giant resistor grids on the top end opposite the cab to bleed off energy for the dynamic brakes system, which you can probably rig into a hell of a space heater.
This happened in 1998, in Quebec. https://gizmodo.com/that-time-a-canadian-town-derailed-a-diesel-train-and-d-1846307148
The ice storm of '98 was wild. I lived in an area hit pretty hard and we had like a full week straight of snow days. I also remember putting on skates and just going anywhere, learned that skating downhill is terrifying.
Anything with wheels is like Mach 12 in 20 feet or less, I imagine ice is like turbo charged insanity
They actually didn’t even lay tracks, they just absolutely destroyed that road, lol.
