Not gonna lie, most of them weren't very organic. And I think this kind of propaganda only makes outsiders even more sceptical.

If you already have a narrative where people are being alledgedly genocided, It's not a big step to think they were forced to do this as well.

Most of them are semi professionally produced, some even with a script and set. That's just not a good look.

Best would still be if the eu accepted an invite for observation or something. But that would obviously be biased too.

I'll just accept I will not know for certain what really goes on. But I don't trust the US state department one bit.

Not to go off at you specifically, but everything I see this train of thought my brain parses it as "I don't trust it unless it can be corroborated by white people."

I don't see why France's take on the situation is any more valid than the takes of dozens of Islamic countries who have already come out in support of the Chinese deradicalization program.

Send in inspectors from Sri Lanka, the Republic of Vanuatu, San Marino, Bhutan, Guyana, Angola and Togo

I will not explain why I picked the countries I did

Islamic countries already made peace with israel for money, leaving Palestinians out in the cold.

Lots of those Islamic countries have loans from China.

I don't take the french governments take at face value but forgive me if i don't take UAE's or Bahrain's either where "the wrong kind of muslims" are used as literal slaves.

It's because I live in the EU. Not because I like white people so much. The EU is obviously politically relevant to me.

The fact that China has asked the EU to come look for themselves and the EU has declined to do so really ought to tell you enough

But as a European leftist you must be able to think of many times European leaders have lied through their teeth about leftist movements, causes, and ideas?

Why would it be any different this time?

But where does that actually leave us? "All information is unreliable, but the information from people who have directly lied to me in the past is less unreliable"?

Why is a European neoliberal goon any more reliable than any one else?

No. I ended with, I can't know for sure but I don't trust the narrative. That's literally what I said in my first comment.

But I also don't want to end up as the person that would say 'Wir haben es nicht gewußt'. My family suffered in the holocaust. How could I take these accusations lightly? All due respect.

Chinese people don't know or care about the propaganda being told about them : "They're not saying anything because they're afraid of speaking out, it's suspicious"

Chinese people know and respond to questions by saying it's not true : "They're lying because they're afraid of speaking out, it's suspicious"

Chinese media talks about the topic : "Of course the chinese state media would say that, I want to see real people say it"

Chinese people film themselves talking about this very serious and disgusting propaganda : "I mean they have... cameras, and they're reading statements they wrote before, that's not poor organic enough"

Chinese people literally go on a meme spree making parodies of BBC documentaries because of how obvious the propaganda is.

Chinese vloggers go visit the region, ask people, film : "State funded, biased, lying."

Foreign vloggers go visit the region, ask people, film : "Chinese asset, would never be allowed to do this if they were critical, lying."

China invites other countries to visit, the ones that accept say it's all good : "They're lying because they don't want to lose china as a trade partner/they're afraid"

China invites the countries that are the most critical and they refuse to come.

China invites countries through the UN and the most critical countries bully the others into not visiting because that would be "accepting genocide".

      --

I'm sorry this isn't a dig at you specifically and I kinda see your point, i'm not mad at you but at this topic in general, It's really starting to sound like nothing will ever be good enough.
