I always thought that, like Antarctica, space (other than satellites) was considered off-limits to anything but scientific research efforts. SpaceX makes me think otherwise though...
The thought of anything other then the very careful and meticulous scientific handling of space scares the shit out of me.
I don't want my sky filled with space junk and cheeseburgers. I don't want scientific research inhibited by idiots cluttering the sky with commercial garbage.
Someone tell me there is at least something protecting space.
I'm thinking more and more that Space Force is just a flex by america to ensure that their companies can throw whatever shit they want into orbit.
It’s an imperialist country using its military the way imperialist nations always have - to open up and subsequently protect areas of expansion for new sources of profit which are constantly demanded by capitalism.
We're currently collapsing under the weight of financing regular imperialism, so expanding into space imperialism seems naively optimistic to me.
But you see they need to get into space imperialism to make enough money to pay for the regular imperialism :cap-think:
Doesn't matter, capitalists will just change the laws or ignore them
Omg don't read the comments they're all praising Elon Musk :agony-deep:
There is an International law preventing building Super weapons on space but its mostly about nuclear one so, yeah
Lol why would the bourgeoisie government write laws and enforce them against their own wishes
Yeah, I read some Ghouls saying climate change was actually gold because they could mine Antarctica. Fucking disgusting, not to mention just plain idiotic. People that dangerously stupid should not have power.
The only law truly protecting exploitation of Antarctica is the tyranny of distance.
There was a good video about it, but I don't remember who from. Maybe second thought?
