Patriarchy exists because men saw that they were killing male livestock and didn't want to kill themselves the way they were killing male livestock so they got in a big room and invented the patriarchy

    I love idealism

That subreddit is wild cause on the one hand its a bunch of women sharing tips on how to sniff out abusive men and spot red flags in relationships which is good, but then on the other hand its this shit and like wtf.

Idk, they're also super terfy and classist. When I visited I thought it was chill at first but transphobic comments got massively upvote, even using r/gendercritical terminology.

I feel like there's probably places that have the good advice you might find there without the really toxic elements.

What else can you expect when they refer to men as "scrotes"? In their mind 'person with dick and balls' = 'man'. So what conclusion could they draw if a "scrote" enters their "female" only space?

It seems to me that gender essentialist thinking is usually going to lead to transphobia.

Yeah i've definitely noticed the transphobic undercurrents as well. I've seen some people call it TRP for women but i don't think that's 100% accurate, definitely still a toxic place tho.

This is the premise of a huge percentage of femdom hentai. Not that I know that.

Jesus fucking christ I am reading through that sub and... Pls tell me this stuff is ironic? There is so much eugenics, classism and absolutely horrible categorization of people into "high value" and "low value". It's not immediately obvious but there are some highly upvoted posts which are extremely creepy. It is incredibly mean spirited, it's like a "feminist" incel sub, wtf...

I can show some sympathy since I know there is a good chance a lot of the women there have been victims of sexual assault so I can understand maybe going a bit overboard with some things generally but some of the posts are unreal.

Another which said Hillary Clinton turned a blind eye to her husband being a huge sexual predator in her pursuit of personal power (also true).

Is that radical? that's what my mom and aunts (life long GOP-supporters and anti-feminists) believe

I think at least some of these people may be republicans or at least close to republicans so the Clinton thing isn't as surprising. I know a terf that has been moving towards the GOP for a while because she thinks the dems are too friendly towards trans people. Last election she was saying she wanted Biden to win but also didn't want the dems to win the senate.

I dunno, it's weird, definitely seems like there is something important and some truth behind some of the attitudes there, but the conclusions they get to are just creepy a lot of the time...

the entire game/sexual strategy/pua subculture is like this. they apply this sort of pseudoscientifc thinking to relationships and human psychology so they can transform their desires, biases, and anxieties into objective facts. even if their cargo-cult approach to manipulating other people has a less than even success rate, it gives them a rigid structure to hang their understanding of the world on.

Look, I am NOT saying we should forcibly castrate people, but...

The whole post is wild, like it unironically argues that men invented patriarchy because they didn't want to be treated like lambs in farms lmao. Also the fucking scary focus on "productivity"... And all the weird evo psych and calls for eugenics and "weeding out low quality men" in the comments... What is that place exactly?

A radfem talking about women being more productive than men is comparable to Marxists talking about workers being more productive than capitalists. The difference is they believe class hierarchy (the most recent incarnation being capitalism) stems from patriarchy instead of patriarchy stemming from class hierarchy, as Engels argued. They want to do to men (and often transwomen) what we would like to see done to capitalists.

I'm not sure it is comparable, they seem to complain a lot about "low value males" just playing video games and not producing enough (not even that they are exploiting women while doing that, just that they're not producing) which has very creepy overtones. It's more like if marxists complained a bunch about lumpen instead of capitalists.

This sub looks like a fascinating place. They use acronyms like "LVM" (which I assume means "low value male") and seem to have adopted the same underlying transactional and ruthless homo economicus-based understanding of human dating behavior that a lot of pick-up artists, MGTOWs, incels, and other """red-pill"""-adjacent groups use, but disagree on important conclusions men make (e.g. cishet women above 30 see their bargaining power decrease while cishet men see a corresponding increase after 30 because higher income).

It almost feels like the people who started the sub did so as some sort of psyop, in this case being some of the same people who run the male-centric misogynist communities to "corroborate" what their followers believe about the dating behavior of cishet women. On the other hand, the unrelenting and continued penetration of market logic into every sphere of human life could have easily spawned such a subreddit organically. The Internet and the neoliberal trend towards social atomization have significantly commodified sexual interaction.

Such an unusual sub. Changing just a few elements and this would sound like something that came from an incel message board. Like, most of the upper parts could be kept the same (swapping out some verbiage to more misogynistic alternatives), and then change the conclusion to "we need to forcibly sterilize the femoids because they're having too many babies and that puts too much pressure on the environment." maybe also something like "We need to make sure the matriarchy never takes over or they're gonna castrate all the non-chads"

This is undeniably stupid but if you genuinely believe their premises the conclusion would be to eat women— not men.

Only one of these sexes bottlenecks child production and population growth.

Gosh though, it seems like all fash shit is really rooted in wanting terrible things for others while desperately avoiding the uncomfortable truth that the under their views they would be just as open to being brutalized. Kinda egalitarian.
