The issue with ecofascism is that there is no need to hunt human beings. We can peacefully decrease population, and we are also under the carrying capacity. Both of these are made possible by industrialization. Until deer industrialize, then yes that is the only solution.

And sure, once factory farming is abolished, if predators naturally equilibriate herbivore populations, there is no more need for hunting. An overpop based hunting license system will automatically end the practice when that happens, no more change will be necessary, so there is nothing wrong with such a system in the meantime.
