      From what I've heard, they're going to vote to drop that clause in the next national convention.

        I hope so. I've seen some arguments to keep it because it prevents entryist attempts which were very large problems in the past. However, I there can be ways to prevent entryist take overs without anti communist shit.

          honestly a few entryists would do the DSA good they are still far too lib and friendly with democrats, get some crazy trots to balance it out.

            There are a few caucuses in DSA trying to do that already, like Emerge or the Communist caucus. Jamie Peck brings it up every once in a while on the Antifada.

      its not really against the bylaw its just a clause that can be used if there is reason for that member to be expelled. lots of people duel card

      As previously been mentioned, the clause will probably be dropped. But there's been talk about that for years and it hasn't, so who knows.

      However, it's so unused, that if it were to be used, it'd probably cause such a stink that national would overturn any chapter expulsions based on it. Like, it would have to be things that would be expulsion worthy even without the demcent clause considered, to stick.
