The guy got so addicted to losing wars, he just couldn't stop.

A highly upvoted comment: "Lots of people get labelled as Nazis nowadays when it just isn't true."

Nazis were like "yeah so basically our whole ideal is killing and dying gloriously to purify yourself and your country," and these reddit dipshits say that he just wanted to fight for his country, but that's not the same thing as believing in Nazism.

Germans had an entire SS division made up of Eastern Europeans who just wanted to fight the Russians.

Imagine actually believing this, and not the reality that most of those who allied with the Germans wanted to fight back the commies and kill all the Roma, gays, and Jews in their area.

If I had a dollar for every time I see the phrase “he wasn’t a Nazi! He was anticommunist!”, I could afford to employ Jeff Bezos as a maid.

I used to be subbed to it back when there was still some essence of parodying patriotism. I'll admit at the time I was still a US stan, so I didn't really care about the unironic stuff. Comments were usually more in the vein of "I am willing to critique America, but here are the things I love about it too." Heck I probably wrote some.

But then it got fashy fast.

I just deleted my account. Got rid off all my bookmarks and deleted the app on my phone. I'll have to live without all the niche subreddits. ive been enjoying old school forums more anyway, a lot of obscure ones have been a lot more active lately
