Refused to shoot women - male feminist icon

Managed to fool the feds for 4 years and escaped the country to Pakistan

Did it because of US foreign policy, specifically towards Palestinians

His guilty verdict led to 4 US oil execs being parodied in Pakistan in response

The entire civil hierarchy of Balochistan province attended his funeral, and he now has a mosque in Pakistan named after him

Spontaneous terrorism is cringe, but what Mir Aimal Kansi did probably saved at least dozens of lives in the global south. I have no choice but to stan.

wait so this guy conducted a mass shooting at CIA headquarters and just got away for years?

so America was always an empire in decline?

Technically he never even had to set foot in the facility - he went to an intersection where cars would turn left to get to the security checkpoint, and he figured that since you needed identification to get in, anyone in the left lane was probably a spook.

My favorite part of his escape is how he realized he wasn't being pursued (they were looking for a white guy) and just went to McDonald's. King shit.

Kansi returned to his vehicle and drove to a nearby park. After 90 minutes of waiting, he realized that he was not being actively sought and so he drove back to his Reston apartment.[8] At the time reports said police were looking for a white male in his twenties and the shooting was not thought to be directly connected to the CIA.[12] He hid the rifle in a green plastic bag under a sofa, went to a McDonald's to eat, and booked himself into a Days Inn for the night. The CNN news reports he watched made it clear that police had misidentified his vehicle and did not have his license plate number.[7] The next morning, he took a flight to Quetta, Pakistan.

I would call him a king, but that's gross. Instead I'll call him a comrade.

Was the whole war in Afghanistan done just to get him?

Likely not, but the elements of black site torture seem to be found after his capture.
