Pisses me off this is an amendment, such a cop out. Should be in the bill, but will be interesting to see regardless. :|
GOP in 2022: Republicans want to raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour, the Democrats do not. In fact many of them voted against raising the minimum wage last year.
Dems in 2022: WE FOUGHT LIKE HELL, WE THREW EVERY PROCEDURE IN THE BOOK TO TRY AND PASS THIS WAGE!

If those fuckers want to filibuster it, lock the doors and force each one of them to get up on stage and speak for 24 hours straight. And order the senate sergeant-at-arms to shoot anyone that tries to break open the doors.
Kicker: the Senate sergeant at arms only gets $10/hr
(I think they're probably salaried, but I'm sure there are a few of those guys who could stand for a raise)
Apparently they forgot that you should pay your praetorian guard well to secure their loyalty.
Wow, already have like 7 Democrats voting no. It's barely gonna clear 40, never mind 60.
