    It's been cautiously optimistic on the South American front lately. I really do not want to get my hopes up though.

      Almost every South American country has wildly fluctuated between socialist and fascist. Usually due to US involvement.

      But since the socialism comes "naturally" and the fascism is because of the US, there is hope that socialism is where things will ultimately land. Though it might not be possible until :amerikkka:

        Socialism comes from native people while fascism comes from the settler colonialist heirs. Peronism was as "natural" as movements come. The hostility towards Maduro, Lula, and Morales wasn't a US invention. There's real domestic bigotry to grapple with.
