Love it when a news outlets uncritically just parrot whatever cops tell them.

"In December, the BCA had to search Floyd's car a second time, because they failed to collect some pieces of evidence. According to a search warrant, they ended up finding fentanyl and meth."

Explicitly, the message is that drugs in Floyd's system might have caused his death as opposed to being suffocated (despite both autopsies).

Implicitly, it's just a more insidious form of "he was no angel", where they're hoping the jury is made up of ghouls who think drug users are degenerates unworthy of life.

For real, you don't have the right to kill someone just because you find out they're cool.

lol they're trying to turn a trial of Derek Chauvin into a trial of George Floyd (who they murdered). libs will continue to think there are any good cops in this country too.

Also, what the fuck is a partially chewed pill? Who partially chews a pill then spits it out? Also when you bite a pill, it just becomes dust...

It doesn't have to make sense or even be real for it to work. Repeat a lie like this so many times and get news outlets to parrot it uncritically and soon 90% of the dweebs on r*ddit and Facebook will be repeating it as proven fact and poison all discussion on the subject.

It's how all anti communist propaganda from "communism no food" to "China secret police can open your door at any time" gets spread. The point of stuff like this with regards to the trial isn't to be good case evidence, but to try change public opinion and plant seeds of doubt in the public's minds. To "manufacture consent". I mean we were at a point that the majority of Americans supported the burning down of a police station, can't have that. Prepare for every racist trope to be trotted out during this trial to try to awaken the brainworms indoctrinated into every Americans mind from kindergarten, like a zombie awakening scene in a movie.

All that westerners needed to not care that China dealt with the pandemic while Americans continue to die was that evil China is committing an invisible genocide against the Muslims who we love.

Americans when discussing 2A: "we need guns to make sure we don't get an oppressive police state"

Americans when discussing police brutality: "umm actually sweetie if you're on drugs or resist arrest you deserve to be executed in the middle of the street"

Nah you're not wrong entirely. If he's convicted then libs will just wipe their hands clean and claim this as an example that the system works. I know this is borderline accelerationism but its also pragmatic, we know the system doesn't work and that cops like this almost always get to walk away. Remember the riots in LA didn't really start until after his attackers were acquitted.

Talk to people. Force people to remember this. I did all day today at work, most people didn't even know this trial was taking place. People really are tuning out right now because they think things will get better with Trump gone and its our responsibility to constantly remind them that they aren't.

I don’t think so. The country was in a different mood back then. Pissed off from seeing that video and just miserable all around because of the pandemic, unemployment and everything. The momentum just isn’t there.

Unemployment was like 14% back then. Lib take, but Trump being president made people more likely to riot imo. Not sure why. Tension was already building, as were the LA riots and I just don’t see that happening right now.
