I've never received a text from an event I wasn't emailed about weeks in advance except a couple emergency events. Like everyone is supposed to use action network to setup and send emails usually at least a couple weeks in advance and membership gets textbanked a couple days before as a reminder.

Think it depends on the chapter. The one in my city lags hard on letting people in but they did get a ton of people wanting to join last year.
