        Sounds like your local dsa group's isn't a worker's group.

        Much like how the DSA notparty isn't a workers party.

        Those are reminder texts, there's general meetings and probably emails sent earlier that you should be getting. I've never received a text from an event I wasn't emailed about weeks in advance except a couple emergency events. Like everyone is supposed to use action network to setup and send emails usually at least a couple weeks in advance and membership gets textbanked a couple days before as a reminder.

    Think it depends on the chapter. The one in my city lags hard on letting people in but they did get a ton of people wanting to join last year.

    PCUSA. Heard back pretty fast and got my welcome packet in a week. It’s explicitly a ML party however.
