        anti natalism really seems to just be depression: the ideology. most people are not depressed. being born isn't being dammed to suffer any more than it is being damned to experience joy! and for most people they experience more joy in their life than suffering.

        Damn, can't believe you totally read the book in good faith and somehow didn't read the part where he addresses that exact problem. He's a deontologist, so he's categorically not a utilitarian, even. I don't think most people are actually intelligent enough to understand moral theory when they post shit like this all the time.
