Palestine gets their land back, but there's a Jewish state somewhere else?

The read I had was that he's someone who thinks that that land rightfully belongs to the Jews and that Jews getting all of "Israel" "back" from the Palestinians WOULD be decolonization. Its a twisting of the term basically.

Like, he doesn't see Israelis as the settlers. He sees them as the colonized people rightfully getting back their land.

More likely its one of those freaks working on behalf of an AIPAC affiliated group.

The term “cosplay” gets bandied about these days, but I think it’s appropriate for any Zionist-Stalinist or Shomer HaTzair types after about 1956.

No way in hell this is an organic position arrived upon without external influence from AIPAC or some shit. You'd get laughed out of the room in any leftist or indigenous setting.

This reads too much like satire to not be some smug member of the shitposting elites of r/neoliberal or where ever those NAFO fuckstains congregate.

Return Italy to the Etruscans*, except it's not the actual Etruscans it's a bunch of northern europeans who claim to be Etruscan

      1. They don't exist anymore

      2. The etruscans lived in modern Tuscany

      3. The Italian language was modeled after the Tuscan dialect due to the nationalistic ambition to erase national identities through a unified language and culture. The success was partial.

Incoherent opinions aside, that flag does go incredibly hard tho. Shame to see it wasted on supporting settler colonialism.

nah. the entire settler colonial mythology of israel is based on the idea that the (white, european, descended mostly from converts) Jewish people are "returning" to their "lost homeland" they they were cast out of in late antiquity, and that the indigenous Palestinians are Muslims settlers from the middle ages. This is about as revisionist as it gets, but it doesn't stop them from believing it.

A guy I used to work with and still see on a slack our colleagues all made 8 or so years ago said exactly this as if it justifies bombing innocent people, who are primarily children. His whole schtick is that his grandparents' families were all murdered in nazi concentration camps except his grandpa who kicked all their asses and rambo'd his way out, therefore it's fine to do the same thing to this other group of lesser people who are like lowly unsmart animals. That mask coming off was pretty surprising to all of us and he has since stopped talking in the channel altogether.

Also I don't know why people think it's perfectly acceptable to slaughter animals either.

From what I understand there was a prevalent leftist/socialist strain within some of the early Jewish settlers in Palestine so no this oddly tracks

Had a Jewish coworker whose “solution” to the Israel-Palestine conflict was, move all the Israelis and Palestinians to Arizona with their own separate, distant enclaves, carpet bombs all of Israel-Palestine to rubble, salt the earth, put up a giant wall around the whole thing with signs that say “here be dragons” and hopefully everyone will eventually forget why anyone wanted to live there in the first place.

No he thinks that Palestine rightfully belongs to Jews and is appropriating "Land Back" and "decolonization" through a Zionist lense.
