I honestly think it could be a million, five million, ten million and it wouldn't make a difference. Countries like the US & UK are so thoroughly indoctrinated, alienated, and individualised that I feel like the number wouldn't matter full stop.

Every boomer I talk to who is ok with this outcome has rationalized it in a "how many people die every year anyway?" sort of way. It's completely normalized to them now.
