I agree, I also don't think he did enough when he was 18-30, but he was also emotionally abused by his parents, who cruelly made him complicit before he really had agency. Just a really horrible situation.

His parents had Lola since she was young, and brought her to America, she was a slave in their household. Only when she was elderly did Alex Tizon (being well paid in Academia) finally offered her some material comfort.
