Also they're all traumatised war orphans and fused (?) to their suits or whatever it was, I remember them not even being fully conscious or in control

Well, i’m glad i didnt kill em, cause also tranq bosses was the better outcome. But i, a mostly hetero grown adult at that age felt that was too much.

That game had so many awful scenes in it, like the bit where every dude at a military briefing cranes their necks to stare at Mei-Ling's butt when she crouches to pick up something she dropped

4 is utter dogshit, it felt like Hideo Kojima was sitting next to me and making fun of me for liking the first 3 games

This was also metal gear. - (To be clear, it’s supposed to be the villain, not an endorsement.)

god damn MGS 1 & 2 were such unbelievable games

I wish I could find any other games. like show me any other game with shit like the colonel A.I. speech at the end of MGS2...

yeah, it's utterly amazing that these games were made at all... and I don't know if I'll ever see anything like them again. The rest of the series following (even including MGS 3) don't even come close.

Hot brother clone fist fighting about who is the better warrior man on a nuclear mech surrounded by fire etc.

What are you talking about, there's nothing sexual about shirtless fistfighting, that's just how Real Men Settle Their Differences!

Metal Gear Solid 1 felt markedly less self-aware and ready to poke fun at itself, Solid became a much sillier character from 2 onwards (which I approve)

          I forgot about that scene.

Now i feel the wacky gravure magazine trap to get past guards wasnt the dumb joke i thought it was.
