    It's hard to say.

    They did spectacularly in Feb 2020 but didn't get into government.

    Polls sometimes show them as the most popular party in the 26 counties, sometimes not, because polls are imprecise, and because the winds blow this way and that. Across 32 counties, they're certainly the biggest party because the others don't operate both sides of the border.

    Being the biggest party doesn't mean you'll get power in a multiparty democracy. You need allies and so far Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have done better there.

      If they intentionally don’t get into the government to avoid compromising themselves, that’s the only valid strategy to do electoralism tbh
