They get rid of the Pinochet Constitution and a Communist leads the presidential polls. They really can't kill an idea!

I wouldn't call Israel's election a victory for the left but they're not terrific for the right.

Pretty sure Sinn Fein has been gaining ground over the past few years.

      It's hard to say.

They did spectacularly in Feb 2020 but didn't get into government.

Polls sometimes show them as the most popular party in the 26 counties, sometimes not, because polls are imprecise, and because the winds blow this way and that. Across 32 counties, they're certainly the biggest party because the others don't operate both sides of the border.

Being the biggest party doesn't mean you'll get power in a multiparty democracy. You need allies and so far Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael have done better there.

If they intentionally don’t get into the government to avoid compromising themselves, that’s the only valid strategy to do electoralism tbh

I don’t know how recent of news your after, but Lula, in Brazil, seems to be doing pretty well.

He was released from prison on basically a technicality within the last few weeks, and a newer judgement ruled his imprisonment to be straight up judicial corruption (the technicality angle was believed to leave the door open to further prosecution in the future).

So he seems to be out for real, and has been going after Bolsonaro pretty hard. It seems like he’ll be running in the next election, and has a pretty decent shot of getting elected.

    Someone got owned on twitter.

For real tho what happened in Denmark?

Also it's not terribly great news in Greece but at least we successfully got the cops to mostly piss off from the streets, and also the government has started looking kinda shaky for the first time since forever.

Well, the left didn't really make much gains in the Netherlands... It was kind of the opposite...

Denmark is doing a little racism, since we have a supposed left-wing government, but our Prime Minister is just entirely an opportunist. So she will pass laws to actively demolish our low-income neighbourhoods, in order to reduce crime and unemployment.
