Persian cuisine uses a good amount of dill. Just putting it on basmati rice gives a lot of flavor, but one of my favorites is maast o khiar (yogurt and cucumber). It's similar to that russian cold soup but this is a side dish you would eat with a kebab and is much lighter. Some recipes add raisins and walnuts but that's just fancy shit to impress white people.

The only things you really need are yogurt, cucumber, salt, pepper, dill, and shallots. Garlic and/or mint are optional if you like those flavors. Just mix that shit up and leave in the fridge for an hour before eating with rice or bread. Obviously if you want it more persian use Basmati rice or sangak bread.

Baghali Polo and Sheveed Polo are main dishes you can make that feature dill rice, and there are plenty of good recipes online for those as well.

  • It makes it more likely, but there are so many other factors to consider, like Loeffler being appointed vs Perdue who has at least won an election and is from a political/business dynasty in Georgia. Additionally, Warnock will not have had to work as hard as Ossoff for the significant black vote, not to mention the healthy undercurrent of antisemitism toward Ossoff. Jewish people make up about 1% of the population in Georgia and even less than that are practicing Jews, so even in the liberal and urban areas a lot of stereotypes go unchallenged.

The divine beasts were okay, but I really wanted some serious dungeons that the shrines did not fulfill at all for me. It may be a very g*mer take of mine, but the FromSoft games are imo what Zelda should have become if nintendo wasn't concerned with being accessible and creative for creativity's sake. I have hopes that the sequel will be more action packed, but still botw is an excellent game.

There are plenty of bloodsuckers there, but also many of them are still drowning in their own ideology so they actually believe that like, the constitution is a perfect document and actually, they had to blow up that hospital because such is the cost of peace or whatever. So they declassify plenty of docs because enough of them just love following protocols.

This is a good post and reminds of all the smug redditors who like to talk about how people don't get that Rick Sanchez is supposed to be miserable and an asshole when Rick never faces any consequences for his behavior and goes on fun and crazy adventures where he can talk about how becoming a god is actually very boring. IDK how a bunch of selfish assholes wouldn't look at Rick and think he's the man.

Generally coffee is okay as long as you're not loading up on cream and sugar. Black coffee has been a total life saver for me because it's a good hunger suppressant when you're starting out a new diet.

  • I once went to an exhibit on the Cherokee when I was in college. There was all the stuff you expect to see including their efforts to assimilate with the colonizers (learning English, converting to Christianity) but at the end there was just a hallway full of photos from the local area today showing what we did with the lands after making those people walk to Oklahoma and it was all just strip mall shit like this. One was actually a massive Wal Mart just out in a field, not even the usual Gamestop next door.

    Museums are cool and good.

Monster Hunter is my go to for this, there's always easy sidequests to do and mats to farm that you don't need a group for, then you get to show off what you got later in the real hunts

lmao I forgot the ps3 was cheaper than most blu ray players at the time too. Definitely the most powerful negotiating tactic to use on your dad. I had to settle for the Xbox's powerful HD DVD capabilities.

I never laughed as hard in a theater as when Leia uses the force to pull herself back into the ship from the vacuum of space. The rest of the movie was fine I guess, better than the other two of the new trilogy

I remember being so hyped about rumours that Blomkamp was going to direct the Halo movie, nothing ever came of it and then Chappie came out and I can't stand Die Antwoord so I just stopped paying attention

I listen to their ska stuff just for a laugh and nostalgia nowadays, but I still listen to everything from Resignation onwards pretty regularly. And the Battle Begun is my favorite and Gemini was definitely a little underwhelming in spots, but I think they're gonna have some new stuff coming out relatively soon which should be good.

I was at the same show at Bonnaroo, on acid and will always be one of my most precious memories. I still talk about that show regularly with my friends that I was there with, truly magical. Also peaking during South of Heaven: A+ experience.
