  • Kinda do the same as now, just without the bullshit competition nonsense, the corporate propaganda, the "career ladder" treadmill, the customer asskissing, the environmental pollution and the endangerment of my co-workers for profit motives.

I'm an engineer in the metal industry and I'd be more than proud to provide the materials we need to truly build a better, more sustainable and beautiful world that fills the needs of everyone. God, just give me a fucking purpose beyond enriching some assholes.

    Ancient origins

Despite the vast distances separating their homeworlds, many humanoid species have been found to share a remarkable commonality in form and genetic coding. These similarities were believed to be evidence of a common ancestry, an ancient humanoid species, who lived in our galaxy's distant past some four billion years ago.

It's of course a necessary explanation to make the show feasable in a world without infinitely powerfull CGI, but Star Trek isn't that thoughtless.

Contrapoints genuinely influenced my awareness of trans and enby people and their struggle. It created a basic understanding and empathy on which I could build and learn about my comrades and why their fight is mine and vice versa.

Not trying to defend Twitter drama or some "Vote! UwU" takes, but media matters. People go beyond their radicalisation sources all the time.

Of course, you must kill your heroes. There is no point in tying your convictions to an individual, flawed person. But to say "Nothing they do matters" is needlessly blackpilled.

Substitute. Much of it is impulse control. You grab the drink because it's there and once you have it, you gonna drink it. So if you grab something else, that fills the same basic impulse. And then you give your initial urge a chance to subside and overpower it.

Alcohol-free beer is my substitute to significantly lower my alcohol intake. If you feel like you need to quit entirely, you may need something different.

Not to be the obligatory pedant... But those really aren't roguelikes. :stirner-cool:

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup remains one of my all time favourite games due to its simplicity and adherence to the old-school roguelike ruleset (Permadeath, Random world, Turn-based, Tile-based). You can play it online for free. Also watching a short tutorial run on YouTube helps a ton. It's deep, rewarding and the amount of unpreventable death is reasonably low. It's also open source, community developed and pretty charming.

  • Richard Feynman, as problematic as he may have been, did recognise that and put it pretty succinctly. Science only ever tells you how to do something, not why.

To every man is given the key to the gates of heaven. The same key opens the gates of hell. And so it is with science.

I figure working on the atomic bomb in Los Alamos had something to do with that mindset.

Cuck Philosophy also has a excellent video on Sam Harris' view on the world: https://youtu.be/wxalrwPNkNI

Cuck Philosophy does some of the most on point and succinct philosophy videos I've seen.

Still love contrapoints. I like the theatrics and costumes.

Anarchopac is cool and good and severely underrated.

Unless you're living in a heavily affected area and are in lockdown, I feel like meeting another person isn't too bad. It's a risk, but so is shopping and working. Meet outside, go for a walk, keep your distance and if it feels right, just do your thing. If you're not dating 15 people a week, you're fine. Your emotional needs need to be filled as well and you have to make that judgement yourself.

As for getting to know people in the first place... Online dating is your friend. Tinder isn't great, but it works.
