Wait, capitalized pronouns are a thing? I've been doing trans shit for over a decade and this is the first I've heard of that

Edit: There's like no way Grail isn't DroneRights

Capitalization is just honorifics. It's not misgendering in the same way not addressing someone as "Her Royal Highness" isn't misgendering either.

Seems like the kind of op a groyper kind of fascist would do to then post about elsewhere online mocking the ridiculousness of the latest thing in pronouns.

That was the exact feeling I got from DroneRights. I tried to keep an open mind cause you know, there are all kinds of people in this wide wide world, but their explanation of their identity just seemed so complex and frankly artificial (no pun intended) and many of their posts ran right up to the edge of acceptability, or else seemed like distorted strawman versions of leftist positions, that were just a little too extreme or phrased in the way that a hyper-online reactionary would see leftist positions.

Like, the scent that I caught the hint of was an absolutely seethingly bitter 4chan-type fascist, coming here to make up an identity that it was hard to follow the rules of and then keep pushing the boundary of acceptance, trying to create scenarios where they were accidentally slighted and could then browbeat well-meaning people who would feel bad about it (i.e. exactly what their twisted worldview says queer people do IRL) - even calling it 'dronegender' was suspicious adjacent to the 'attack helicopter' meme - while parodying and distorting left talking points to see if people would still agree with them. Until, of course, they eventually showed their true colors and got themselves banned.

This 'my pronouns are capitalized' thing feels like the exact same wrecker style.

I'm inclined to agree, I gave DroneRights the benefit of the doubt initially too, this just looks like more of the same kind of behavior overall, just looks like intentional wrecking.

I know how to do this all much better but I'm not saying it out loud lmao. Hexbear in particular is very vulnerable to one particular thing I have in mind but there's no way I'm ever saying anything about it.

It's not. All leftist communities are very vulnerable to it but the more strongly principled are especially so. Guarding against it necessarily requires dropping a principle which is super problematic.

Here is the explanation given of it.

It’s ummm…. Yeah. Seems a bit beyond neo pronouns, but idk, I try not judge, for obvious reasons. Though I will judge them for being an asshole with a stupid ideology independent of that.

I will absolutely fucking judge anyone who claims to be an anarchist yet demands that everyone feed into their deification complex in the name of gender euphoria. There's at least a basis behind neopronouns (leslie-shining), but this is some "I was raised by wolves and/or Tumblr" narcissist bullshit.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is someone we've banned before. They eventually went on a transphobic tirade

i'm willing to go to the chopping block for this one if it's nakedly reactionary but uh

forcing people to refer to you in the same way religious folks do god seems like it has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with an unwarranted sense of self-importantance

really no shock if it does turn out to be DR

i'm perfectly comfortable with judging someone for wanting capitalised pronouns, especially when it goes beyond 3rd person. i cannot read it as anything other that someone trying to position themself as my dom. not saying it's intended that way precisely but it's very uncomfortable.

How do you do capitalise pronouns offline? In normal human to human spoken interaction.

What is this “Offline” you speak of? Is it a hidden discord channel?
