How do I tell the MCT Oil and Benzyl Alcohol apart? I was planning on just using smell, but both of the bottles smell like alcohol.
I saw people talking about using a drop of water, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that.
Actually, the caps are labeled 51 and 53. Looking at the website, these seem to be MCT and Benzyl respectively.
I'm just really paranoid about somehow mixing them up and injecting a bunch of alcohol. But I guess I'll risk my life trusting the stickers, lol
Omg I didn't realize they labeled them online... I did the water drop test. But I think this is consistent with what I figured out.
Alcohol is water soluble. If you drop it in water it will quickly mix.
Oil and water do not mix. If you drop it in water, it will sit on the surface as a single big drop, or multiple little drops.
That makes way more sense than what I was thinking... I was imagining dropping water into a cup of oil and a cup of alcohol, but I suppose the reverse would be way easier. I might try that later just to make sure I got it right.
