    stalker behavior, dysphoria

Okay so I've been on and off about posting this here because the it's hard to explain while being vague but I have to be vague to avoid doxxing. But I really have to vent so

I never used [music site] before and didn't even know I had an artist page there until literally today when I was jumpscared by my own face. I hate [music site] and their weird ass way they do shit and I fucking loathe whoever uploaded my pre-transition photo without my permission (and I'm 99% sure I know who did it). Also I've never associated my face with my music so it's really creepy to have someone go out of their way to do that. And like I'm searching through the community help and faqs on [music site] and trying to figure out how to change it through whatever the fuck [harry potter ass looking word] is and it looks like the only way to solve this is to bend the knee at the court of moderators and like go into deeply personal dysphoria shit so I can make sure I motivate someone enough to actually get off their ass and remove the photo because judging from comments I've been reading they don't seem to do shit about artist photos most of the time.

I've been getting upset about this on and off all day. I been trying to get my mind off this but I keep ending up back in this headspace. This is not okay.

there ought to be a law

Site that totally makes complete sense and is not bullshit: random people can upload whatever photo to a profile you yourself did not make, and to change it you have to go rattle the skulls of some dipshit mods.

That is utterly fucked, not even remotely okay. With luck someone will bring a libel suit or whatever against the site when a profile has spurious or nasty stuff on it. Fuck [music site].

They use a wiki sort of setup and I feel like this is how they absolve themselves of any liability. Also there's big money backing them so I don't think a lawsuit will happen.

Thanks though, I appreciate it meow-hug

      fucking OOF

Jfc, that's so distressing. I've been in a similar situation and, can confirm, it drove me absolutely nuts. The inflexibility of the bureaucracy and the level of extremely personal gut spilling you have to do for anyone to even begin to acknowledge that anything is wrong with the way the system is set up is akin to an eldrich horror in and of itself. The "funniest" part was that I was dealing with an ostensibly leftist entity and the person in charge of making the systems of the org inclusive kept telling me "we don't want you to misunderstand and think that the leaders of this org are transphobic or xenophobic", but in the same breath told me how accommodating my existence is unrealistic and would take years of work, like BRUUH. The level of gaslighting was wild and absolutely unbearable. I literally had to explain to them over and over again how systemic oppression works, with 0 success. I curse their name to this very day and will continue far into the future.
