Just got my third laser session
Holy. Fuck.
That hurt. It still hurts.
They were just playing around the first two times. They harnessed the sun for this one.
They only ratchet it up from here. So gird yourself.
That wasn't the max power?
Hahaha no…it gets worse. I’m almost two years into treatments and they just use the surface of the sun on my skin now. And yes, I said two years. Pretty sure the first year was done improperly.
Oh fuck T.T
Could you give me some things to look out for? I have a feeling it's not being done right, as well
For me, it was that it wasn't finished yet. That stuff isn't supposed to take more than a year. The staff that was doing it for my first year ended up either leaving or getting fired for one reason or another (minus a couple of them), and the new staff that came in has made a TON of progress since then. However, I've only had like 3 appointments since then due to my bottom surgery and them simply not having staff the one time.
Aside from that, maybe that it wasn't hurting nearly as much as it should've at a certain point. It should hurt all the time to my understanding.
So proud of you! I just finished the last laser session for my face at the beginning of this month. Honestly, I personally found that it hurts less and less even as they up the power more and more, I think due to the hair thinning out.
Yeah, that and burning off your nerve endings lol
Lmao, this is also a possibility.
Worked in many kitchens. Decreased sensitivity to burning is definitely a thing.
Oh before I forget, you can ask your doctor to prescribe you emla cream. You begin putting it on about 2 hrs before a laser session, and be sure to wipe it all off with a towel before your session to avoid a burn. This helps me significantly with pain. In addition, you can take 800mg or acetaminophen if you are not allergic.
