The ETR 600 is a class of trains built by Alstom, and are used on the routes between Roma-Bolzano and Roma-Trieste. The train tilts, using Pendolino technology, allowing higher speeds to be maintained through corners without causing discomfort to passengers. The trains are operated by Trenitalia, originally under the Frecciargento (Silver Arrow) branding used for trains capable of travelling between 250 km/h and 285 km/h, In 2022 they were rebranded under Frecciarossa (Red Arrow) after the Frecciargento branding was retired.

The ETR 600 has also been adapted for use in China as the China Railway CRH5 Hexie. Initially 60 sets were ordered, of which nine were manufactured by Alstom and 51 by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles. Since, another 80 sets have been created for a total of 140, operating across China's north from Beijing to Ürümqi.

      Physically aching and spiritually yearning

      spoiler

(I rolled my ankle and hurt my hand, that probably sounded thirsty)

      diet/weight loss

On the bright side, I think my shitty night yesterday helped galvanize my resolve to get back in shape and eat healthier and go trans-vegan

I realized how out of shape and gross I felt trying to do something athletic again and I am filled with determination to Get Hot and hit my goal weight by my next birthday and I think it's a reasonable target if I cut out snacking and get more disciplined about portion control and will myself to endure the steep shitty hill climb of starting a cardio schedule when you're out of shape

I want to feel confident wearing crop tops next summer and get a navel piercing or something idk

Hell yessss! You got this. Love hearing about my gender diverse comrades fitness goals. lets-fucking-go This largely coincides with my own goals once I can exercise again in a few weeks! Not having that outlet post op is making me a bit stir crazy. Give yourself some grace starting out the fitness schedule, every small bit is a victory, and it is so accumulative! Consistency always wins!

Just an additional note though, you’re already hot. All of my trans/NB comrades are hot. It’s just facts, don’t even try to debate. it-is-known

A cuuuuuute oaf, is what I am hearing, hehe

Let’s fucking go with the lunges! I will be in a postop no exercise window for about 4 more weeks, but did walk about 2 hrs today to get my ass moving.

            ankle injury!

I hear you on the ankle! I really busted mine so bad last month rock climbing that I initially thought I had broken it. Got it xrayed and it was just a really bad sprain. It is still a bit swollen. kitty-cri-texas Ankles take a long time to heal because the area is so far from the heart, so blood just moves slower to get down there, as I understand it. Be sure to elevate it while sleeping if you can! It speeds up healing significantly.

              ankle injury

It's thankfully not as bad today as I thought it'd be when I rolled it but it's still swollen. I was wearing high top shoes when I hurt it so it could've been a lot worse

Hope your recovery is good and speedy! trans-heart

I saw so many cute outfits in Shibuya last night and here I am just looking like baby-matt

Nearly everyone is wearing black, white, or earth tones, though. Not a lot of color out here. I saw a lot of nice clothes in a mall and nearly shit myself when I saw a sweater that I really wanted with a ¥120000 price tag. Even worse was the place with no prices at all (I was afraid to ask) that had some of the coolest designs I'd ever seen agony-consuming

Omg no price tag stores are cray-zee.

I’m guilty of being an insufferable goth that wears most black, dark green and the occasional dark denim blue, lol.

How is Japan? I have never been!

Japanese fashion is so cool though

I'll have you know that I suffer goths very well left-unity-4

The first thing that hit me was it's fucking hot. I am from a not very warm place and Tokyo in October is like a few degrees below our peak summer temperatures. I was not ready for it coming from a foggy 45 degree morning lol. Everyone seems very fashion conscious but it still seems constrained by what's "acceptable". Like everyone seems to be very rigidly following a specific style and I get the feeling their whole wardrobe is based on that. Whereas I'll wear anything from any style, totally chaotic, depending on my mood (need to get a lot more clothes to really make that work, though).

I've only had one meal but it was amazing how cheap, good, and fast it was. Like 90 seconds from ordering to eating. It was Japanese curry with a side of udon for $5. It would probably be $15 minimum in the US. I went to a game center with all the Bemani games and played some IIDX and watched two OL-looking women absolutely shred level 10-11s getting AA or AAA every song.

Oh, yeah, fully 90% of women are wearing heels and walking everywhere like it's nothing. My feet hurt just watching them but also jealous that it's seemingly easy for them. I'm at a constant crossroads of wanting to wear the cute shoes but also hating shoes in general lol. If my feet weren't enormous I'd probably have a shoe addiction.

I've been to a few vintage stores and they love American t-shirts. Like, somebody's high school marching band made shirts in the 90s and one found its way here and is priced at ¥8980 ($70ish). I feel like I could raid all my high school friends' closets and start a boutique here.

Today I am heading to a very small town for the next week to unwind which will be a huge shift from Tokyo. There's still a fucking train, though, and I'm very excited to ride it to all the little towns out there.

I'll have you know that I suffer goths very well Ooh la sicko-fem

That all sounds rad. Also 40 degrees in October? Is that normal???

Not to indulge you, but there are definitely stores out there for folks with large feet! I’m sure you can get some leads if you hit up the power of the trans mega.

I’m pretty regimented in my wardrobe, it really helps keep the cognitive load down for me to have a set of different things I can just switch thru the seasons with variations mainly on accessories.

So jealous of the access to public transit.

40-45 is pretty normal for 6 in the morning in October. It's fairly unusual to get a day with a high over 75 past September, though it's getting more common cool-zone

I have to wear a uniform at work and it's all unisex so no skirts or femme tops. When I'm at home I'll just throw on whatever's comfy but seeing friends or going out I like to get weird with it.
