you will never have a fair competition because all people are born different - people have differing testosterone levels, differing body builds, differing muscles mass, etc. most competitive sports are plagued with doping because hard work only takes you so far before your body hits its limit.

just let the olympics and shit be a showcase and celebration of what humans can accomplish, fuck it make doping legal as well, i wanna see how wild humans can get

Honestly, legalizing doping would be terrible. Under capitalism, it would just result in poor people being forced onto a bunch of drugs and then thrown at each other in sports arenas for the chance at a livable income...before they die in their thirties.

That is what it is already isn't it? They just keep inventing new undetectable drugs to stay ahead of the tests and don't die usually.

Doping is a problem but still not universal, and even the ones that do don't completely go ham with it because otherwise they would be detected.

If you say "fuck it, doping is cool and good now" you'll basically just kill a bunch of kids. You don't solve a problem by saying fuck it, I don't think it is a problem any more.

Not at lower levels, which is where most athletes are anyway. I'm sure the odd high schooler is doping, but that'd shoot way up if it was unbanned and scholarships were still on the line.

At the lower levels sure. But in Australia doping is pretty extensive in the upper high school levels, especially since many Olympians are competing while still in school (Ian Thorpe (who probably didn't dope) started with the Australian team at 14). Not so much in Football and Rugby, but its growing too.

Still not great, it's really easy to use to exploit people, and it would basically become mandatory to dope in order to succeed in competitive sports and not get annihilated by the 2.5 meter tall, 200 kilograms of pure muscle 19 year old about to tackle your ass.

I have some bad news about socialism...
