I moderate /r/socialism I will install the Vaush bot if this happens.

Also, I hope they're ready for moderator entryism site-wide because the effort people would put in would only go up by 100x. The strats for massive sitewide subreddit takeovers already exist, people are just lazy and it's that laziness holding shit from exploding. Energising people is a very bad idea. In the case of leftists the containment subreddit strategy actually works, unlike with the far right.

It is extremely easy to get modded basically anywhere on reddit, no skill involved, just as you say -- time investment. All you have to do is become a power user in a community and demonstrate the right "attitude" for the modteam to find you an attractive option, then apply. That's just the basics. Honestly 2 weeks of effort in a community is all it takes to get to that point.

From that point onwards is where the strategy gets interesting. Reddit's hierarchy is incredibly vulnerable to common political party and org tactics which are hilariously what everyone in the left gets pretty experienced with against adults. Most modteams on reddit are teenagers or naive people just doing community stuff in good-faith so the whole site is vulnerable to organised hierarchical takeover through the usual socialist tactics.

It's seriously a joke. They should be way more careful about motivating the left because invested communists could genuinely just take over the entire site if they wanted to. They've made absolutely horrible choices for structure and their libertarian attitudes towards being non-interventionist with modteams as much as possible makes the entire thing devastatingly weak to organised entryism.

I mean the admins have shown they're more than willing to "set the mods straight" since they've nuked the cth mod team twice for the lols.

Ok but how about we just just start brigading vaushv and start advocating for slave owners to die so they get banned too lmao

They remind me of the SDP in the 30s. Not the ones that would later get purged but the sort that would immediately throw communists under the bus when it came time to chose a side.

No need for the "in the 30's" qualifier here. Succdems has been this way since reformists and revolutionaries split paths. Anti-communism is one of their fundamental beliefs.

I still don't know who Destiny is, only see the name mentioned here (and like Vaush, I refuse to learn who he is). But I got into a big argument about the CPC with some guy who is obsessed with Destiny.

Just ask if Reddit can monetize the community effectively, and I think you can predict which subs will get the ban. If a sub is gilding a lot, Reddit will leave it alone

If they go public, I don't know if gilding will have the same impact as before. I suspect they'll start caring a lot more about "will a media spotlight on this affect our share price?"

Unless R*ddit or Conde Nast is spun off, I don't think it would go public. The owner seems to be content staying private while owning shares in public companies like Cox or Discovery.

Also LOL at R*ddit being owned by the same company that publishes the local business "news" in most of the big cities in Amerikkka.

They'll probably just respond to removing those posts faster than before to compensate.

They have become a scourge on a small left youtuber I watch's streams. Literally calling communists the same as Nazis and freaking the fuck out when the YTer said anything that went against Vaush. "i can contact him right now, go on his stream and debate him, debate him debate him," they come off like a parody of what I thought they would be like.

What I'm saying is Vaushites have been a disaster for the human race

Vaush claimed recently almost the opposite, that tankies mod all left subs and that you'll get banned if you've been on his subreddit too much lol
