How is this guy not divided in two at the neck?

Never in my life have I seen a nation more desperately in need of regime change.

When Presidents Xi or Biden give speeches, they stand up while legislators sit down. In monarchic Britain, the King sits down on his throne to give the speech while ministers stand up to listen.

Monarchy is even worse than a bourgeoisie republic, and I can't believe that so many liberals from both sides of the narrow spectrum look upon it favorably.

I've never saw Queen Liz 2 wear the crown in a video. I noticed two things when I watched King Whatshisname. One, two hanging things at the top (pearls?) shake when he talks or moves. Two, I had seen photos of the crown but I didn't realize it has a disco ball at the top.

    ---

"My government will continue to take action, to bring down inflation, to ease the cost of living for families..."

As he sits on a throne of gold, wearing a crown of jewels and precious stones...

    Make it make sense.

Queen did exactly the same thing 10-odd years ago. Crown, golden throne, surrounded by hundreds of millions of pounds of gemstones alone, and declared that families must tighten their budgets and spend less and stop spending 'beyond their means'. Nobody batted an eyelid.

I vaguely remembered the Piano, but didn't say it because a golden Piano sounds like the product of a fever dream and I assumed it was. Shame on me for underestimating the greed.

It's true of the "west" in general, but Britain especially NEEDS a century of humiliation. They need to have the unearned smug arrogance brutally beaten out of them until they understand the unforgivable crimes of their nation, and that they are no longer special or important on the world stage. They need to see the Royal Navy get swallowed by the South China Sea. They need to realise that, for the rest of the world, their flag is a hate symbol on par with that of the Nazis (almost as bad as the stars and stripes).

Once they've cut off the head of their monarch and torn down every monument to their genocidal imperial warlords like Churchill, then the work of uplifting them to sapience can begin.

So much of the arrogance is just another collar around their necks that someone else can yank to control them. I don't think it ever goes away, so long as the UK is seen as a place worth dominating. People will be told they're special, that they've been robbed of some kind of birthright, and that the only way the can get it back is by going abroad and killing. And that delusion will persist so long as its worth putting money into the island to turn another generation of young people into brigands and crooks.

I'm not holding my breath on that happening. But crazier things have.
