Iran is a far-right reactionary state

Literally everyone agrees with this. The thing is that I don't want America to invade it.

You can fix a counter-revolutionary state by having an even more counter-revolutionary state invade it

This document is maintained by a small but diverse network of marxists, anarchists, progressives, and other aligned leftists. Everyone tends to work on their own little section independently or follows their own interests.

lmao, so the only value they hold in common is "anti-tankie"? must be a very coherent ideology

let's see what they got. aha Vietnamese imperialism, shilling for Hong Kong protests, a bunch of links to Trotskyist articles about the DPRK economy...

at best, this is a collection of grievances tested against politics so pure and shiny it'll make you blind, except it is compiled by a bunch of people with different ideologies, so even that point is moot.

Docs like these is a strange type of nihilism imo. On the face of it, they want to ruthlessly criticize all that exists, just as Marx wanted, which is not a bad thing. In practice, they target not only their own, but all the rest of the world, while ignoring the Empire. All for what? Some sort of pathological desire to have all the right opinions about everything which, considering that no state is or has been blameless and pure, is a fruitless exercise that makes you politically paralyzed ("everyone's bad") yet oh so morally superior.

Marx wanted questioning, but he frequently tried to remind people to stay in the realm of economics lest they get swept up into reaction and racism/nationalism. Also, the actions of a state are different than the revolutionary character of it or the revolutionary character of the proletarians subjugated by that state.

“Cancel culture” stems from reactionaries dunking on white queer communities’ appropriation of Black English. Be wary of someone obsessively using this vocabulary denuded from the original verb

    uh

“Late capitalism” was coined as a Nazi ideology by Werner Sombart, and while most people use the term “late capitalism” or “late-stage capitalism” for different reasons, the term is still difficult to de-attach from its origin

If I've never heard of this guy, Is it really so hard to detach from its origin?

If someone uses “identity politics” without knowing its origin with Black queer Marxist lesbian feminists and the Combahee River Collective (1974 - 1980), they probably picked up the term from reactionaries. Many Black leftists informed by queer Marxism and Marxist feminism prefer “representation politics” to describe capitalist recuperation of marginalized communities

    ?

These guys also use the word settler instead of American, or western, which rings the 3rd-worldist bell in my head, but I think these guys all live in the west, based on their desire to uphold American hegemony? This is a very bizarre document, but it has lots of dunk tank potential.

They cite this article in their bad jacketing section. This is an anti-antifa/blm socialist viewpoint. This document is totally, ideologically, and rhetorically unguided, and when I'm not about to go to bed, perhaps I will write more about it.

Edit1: Oh shit, didn't mean to reply to you. Oh well. Time to go to bed.

"Developed" or "High" capitalism are terms I've seen Marx use. He also constantly posits that capitalism has to collapse because it began it's decline the second it made the first proles, so "Late" isn't a big jump if you agree with him.

It's worded aggressively, but how is that Blumenthal tweet any more anti semitic than like most of Eli Valley's stuff? Is it the second part about empty platitudes about the holocaust?

Maupin is the ML that we wish didn't call himself an ML, kinda like I'm sure there are a lot of market socialists who hate being associated with V*ush

Max Blumenthal’s Soros shit is whack as fuck, but I’m reticent to label him as an antisemite rather than an occasionally stupid

Antisemitism is the socialism of fools. That's what happens when you're a radlib idealist who doesn't understand Marxist critique of imperialism

    1. This is nothing more not normal than the google doc that "disproves" there's anything happening in Xinjiang by hoarding Chinese state media articles.
    2. Went and see the part about Hungary, it has pretty good resources and is accurate, can't see the problem there.

I don't think anyone will ever read the whole thing tho

Here is the only thing you should take from tankie “imperialism” - revolution should be continent-wide, or you will always run around trying to maintain your resources and security, hurting some genuine good-natured dissent in the process. Also purge nationalism.

So....uh, that's a pretty in-depth doc? Like, it seems they've given it quite some thought. I'll go through (when I'm bored) to see if it makes some sense.
